Looking at this piece i see Wally Wood all over it.
the date on the ownership statement is 1948. my memory is that wood stated working for Eisner and Wunder around this time as well as doing lettering for Fox.
i’ve seen early wood corners in fox shop work from 1949 and by 1950 he was doing mature work for fox and very quickly all over the place, but i’ve never seen a piece from this time, except for sketch books and a page in an eisner style.
it’s possible someone else did some of the penciling, but i think this is wallace wood
